The Honorable Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, inaugurated the Ministry of MSME Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) in Hall No. 6 at Pragati Maidan, ITPO, New Delhi, today. The Pavilion showcases the achievements, innovations, and opportunities available in the MSME sector, reflecting its critical role in driving the nation economic growth. Shri Manjhi, along with senior officials from the Ministry of MSME and NSIC, visited various exhibits at the Pavilion, interacting with entrepreneurs and exploring the diverse range of products and services on display. Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC extended a warm welcome to the Honorable Minister, emphasizing NSIC continued efforts to empower MSMEs through its initiatives in capacity building, market access, and financial assistance.
16 Nov 2024NSIC Observes Vigilance Awareness Week, Reinforces Commitment to Integrity and Transparency
NSIC observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024, as part of its commitment to fostering a culture of integrity. Under the guidance of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), NSIC also conducted a precursor observance from August 16 to November 15, 2024, to build momentum for the week’s theme, Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity. Throughout the week, NSIC’s corporate office and branches across India hosted a range of activities. Employees took integrity pledges, participated in workshops and lectures, and engaged in training sessions on key topics under the Capacity Building Programs. The week also featured essay writing, quiz, and drawing competitions to raise awareness about the importance of ethical practices in the workplace. NSIC marked the conclusion of Vigilance Awareness Week with a closing ceremony on November 7, 2024, chaired by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD at NSIC-Business Park, Okhla, New Delhi. Winners of the week’s competitions received awards, recognizing their active participation. During the ceremony, the CMD, along with Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) and Shri D.K Agrawal, CVO, spoke on the significance of vigilance and integrity in fostering a transparent and accountable work culture. As a highlight, the CMD also launched NSIC’s first edition of the Vigilance Manual, a resource to further support the corporation’s commitment to ethical standards.

In alignment with the vision of Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Labour & Employment, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, to foster skill development and technical empowerment among youths, the NSIC has taken a significant step forward. Following an in-depth discussion, Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, received the formal Land Allotment Letter from Captain Dr. K. Rajendra, IAS, Managing Director of Karnataka State Small Industries Corporation Ltd. in his office on 07/11/2024. The newly allocated land will facilitate the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Tool Room, Common Facility, and Training aimed at equipping the youths and small industrial units of from Bengaluru’s surrounding districts with industry-relevant technical skills.

E Sherali Kabir, Minister, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, Republic of Tajikistan for cooperation in MSME space. MoU focusses to improve economic and commercial cooperation between India and Tajikistan in the field of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and to enhance competitiveness of Indian and Tajik MSMEs in global market. MOU was exchanged during the Mining and Metallurgical Forum and Exhibition at Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 29/10/2024 in presence of Dignitaries of Republic of Tajikistan and various other countries.
29 Oct 2024NTSC (Chennai) Partners with ESSCI and Samsung for Hi-Skill Training in Emerging Technologies
NTSC (Chennai) has been a leader in delivering high-skill training programs, focusing on emerging technologies like AI & Machine Learning, IoT, AR/VR, EV, and Robotics. Recently, in collaboration with the Electronics Skill Sector Council of India (ESSCI) and global technology giant Samsung, the center introduced advanced training in Coding & Programming under the Samsung Innovation Campus program. The training, held at Bharath University, Chennai, began on September 19, 2024, with 50 participants, primarily women, completing the course. A 3-day hackathon from October 15-17, 2024, further enhanced the learning experience. The program concluded with a valedictory function on October 18, 2024, where Mr. Rajesh Kumar, General Manager & Centre Head, distributed certificates to participants.

The newly opened office aims to provide enhanced support and services to MSMEs in the region, facilitating access to NSIC’s wide array of programs focused on business development, technology adoption, financial assistance, and marketing initiatives.The inauguration ceremony was attended by Shri Gurpal Singh, Senior General Manager, NSIC, along with other senior officials from the Corporation.

A two-member delegation, led by Mrs. Aminata Zerbo Sabane, Minister of Digital Transition, Post, and Electronic Communication of Burkina Faso, visited NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre at NSIC’s Technical Service Centre, Okhla, New Delhi, on 18th October 2024. Mr. Subodh Jaiswal, Senior General Manager (Head NTSC, Okhla) greeted the delegation and apprised them about the activities of NSIC as well as NSIC’s models of Rapid Incubation Centre for employment generation. Mrs. Sabane commended NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre model for its effectiveness in employment generation. She further expressed a strong interest in exploring collaborative opportunities. Mr. Rajiv Nath, DGM (Tech), NSIC and other senior officials were also present during the visit.

Her Excellency Ms. Zozo Binti Josephine, Charge d Affaires, Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo, New Delhi, called on Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, NSIC, to discuss potential avenues for cooperation between NSIC and the Democratic Republic of Congo, particularly in the realm of enterprise creation, skill building, incubation and entrepreneurship development. During the meeting, Dr. Acharya provided an overview of the various initiatives undertaken by NSIC to promote entrepreneurship and support the development of MSMEs in India. Subsequently, the delegates from Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo, New Delhi, also visited NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre in Okhla, New Delhi. Her Excellency commended NSIC Rapid Incubation Centre model for its effectiveness in employment generation. She further expressed a strong interest in exploring collaborative opportunities. Dr. Mallu Ravi, Honorable Member-Committee on the welfare of SC & ST and parliamentary standing committee on Industry visited NSIC on 07.10.2024. During the visit CMD, NSIC briefed Honorable Member about the Schemes and Programs of NSIC for the MSME Sector, entrepreneurship development and enterprise creation in the country. Honorable member has also seen various training modules offered by NSIC Technical Services Centre (NTSC), Okhla and appreciate the services being offered for the skill development and enterprise creation.

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) Taiwan on October 02, 2024 at Taipei, Taiwan in the 3rd India-Taiwan SME Joint Working Group Meeting held during the Ministry of MSME led Indian delegation visit to Taiwan. This MoU aims for capacity building and skill development of MSMEs in advanced smart technologies in the field of intelligent machinery, manufacturing technology, robotics, product designing and digital factory management. The MoU was signed by Mr. Sunil Tyagi, Senior General Manager (International Cooperation) on behalf of NSIC and Mr. Hsin-Chuan Su, Deputy General Director of Intelligent Machinery Technology Center of ITRI in the presence of Dr. Ishita Ganguli Tripathy, Additional Development Commissioner, O/o DC (MSME) Ministry of MSME and Dr. G J Lee, General Director, Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) of Taiwan. Also present on the occasion were, Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director (ARI), Ministry of MSME, Ms. Neelam Sharma, Under Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Mr. R.D. Patil, GM, Indo-German Tool Room Aurangabad and senior officials from Taiwan side.
