An official delegation from South Africa, led by Ms. Visser, Head of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, called on Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, NSIC to discuss potential avenues for cooperation in the MSME sector between NSIC and South Africa. The discussions particularly focused on creating enterprise to enterprises linkages, skill development, business incubation, and entrepreneurship development. Ms. Visser was accompanied by Mr. Nkabinde, Director of the Enterprise Development Department; Mr. Khathushelo Thagwana, First Secretary (Political) at the South African High Commission; and Mr. Ravi Issar, Adviser at the South African High Commission. During the meeting, Dr. Acharya delivered an insightful overview of NSIC’s strategic initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and support the development of MSMEs in India.
