Our country has been witnessing phenomenal evolution that calls for a cohesive participation from all sections of the society. Besides wage employment and education, there was need of the marginalized sections to envision, create and scale - up ventures to be a major participant in this growth story. While in the past, there had been some increase in the number of SC/ST owned enterprises, a need was felt to substantially enable the socio-economic empowerment of the SC/ST communities. In this context, the National SC-ST Hub Scheme, an initiative of the Government of India was launch in October 2016 targeting development of a supportive ecosystem towards SC/ST entrepreneurs of the nation.

The National SC-ST Hub Scheme, one of the flagship schemes of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises is implemented by The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC). It is supported by a Special Cell at Corporate Office, New Delhi and 15 NSSH Offices across the country created for this purpose.

There is a dedicated website www.scsthub.in to apprise the stakeholders about the all the verticals/activities of the Hub that work towards the development of existing & aspiring entrepreneurs to participate in the public procurement process.
