Shri Ram Kumar Yadav, Dy. General Manager/Centre Head of NTSC Aligarh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAPS Narora for the fourth consecutive year under the CSR Scheme. This collaboration will provide skill development training to 690 youth from Narora and surrounding areas, across 10 different courses, with a total training revenue of ?2.76 Crores for the Financial Year 2025-26. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri A.K. Agarwal, Chairman, CSR Committee on behalf of NAPS Narora. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to empowering youth through skill development and fostering community growth.

Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, and Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC, met with the Hon’ble Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, to extend their heartfelt New Year 2025 wishes. The meeting, held in New Delhi, marked the beginning of a year dedicated to the growth and empowerment of the MSME sector. During the interaction, the NSIC Directors engaged in a constructive discussion with the Hon’ble Minister on strategic initiatives to uplift the MSME sector. Recognizing MSMEs as the backbone of the Indian economy, the conversation revolved around key areas such as financial support, technological innovation, market access, and skill development programs to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs. Minister of MSME appreciated NSIC’s efforts in facilitating MSME growth through its various programs and encouraged the team to continue their dedication toward this sector.

This MoU aims for capacity building and skill development of students in various emerging Technologies like UX and UI design, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Drone and 3D Scanning for better employability and self-employment. The MoU was signed by Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Senior General Manager,NTSC, Chennai and Mr S.Amarnath, Correspondent, SA Engineering College, Chennai.

NSIC conducted its residential 2nd Management Development Program (MDP) for 30 employees from across India. The Program was inaugurated by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD of NSIC in the presence of Dr. Poonam Sinha, Director (NIESBUD), Sh. P. Ravi Kumar, ED (NSIC) and Mr. Sunil Tyagi, SGM (NSIC). The residential program took place at the National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NEISBUD), Noida, from December 18-21, 2024. During the inauguration, Dr. Acharya addressed the participants with an inspiring and motivational message. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and growth, urging the participants to actively apply the knowledge and skills gained during the program to enhance their performance in their respective work areas.

During his visit to Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC met Mr. Bassel Rahmy, CEO of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), Egypt at the MSMEDA office. Both sides discussed about the MSME sector scenario of their respective countries, role and activities of their respective organizations and deliberated on various cooperation areas under the scope of MoU signed between NSIC and MSMEDA for the development of MSME sector of both countries. Dr. S.S. Acharya also visited the Vocational Training Centre (VTC) established by NSIC at Shoubra El Kheima, Cairo, Egypt and interacted with the officials of the Centre about its performance.

Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC led a delegation of Indian MSMEs and NSIC officials to Cairo, Egypt to participate in the 6th edition of the Egyptian Handicrafts Exhibition- Turathna 2024 and also to sign the MoU of cooperation in MSME sector with MSMEDA, Egypt. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Egypt. Hon’ble Prime Minister also visited the NSIC-India Pavilion, where Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC briefed him about the Indian pavilion and NSIC activities. Indian MSMEs, under the aegis of NSIC, showcased diverse handicrafts including local Indian paintings and GI tag products in Turathna Expo.

Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC signed and exchanged an MoU with Mr. Bassel Rahmy, CEO of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), Egypt during the inauguration ceremony of Turathna Handicraft Exhibition at Cairo, Egypt, which was inaugurated by Mr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Honorable Prime Minister of Egypt on 12.12.2024. This MoU aims at promotion of MSMEs, capacity building of incubators & establish business connects amongst MSMEs of India and Egypt and to improve the commercial and technical cooperation between India and Egypt in the MSME sector. During the event, Ms. C. Sushma, Charge D Affaires, Embassy of India in Cairo, Egypt, Shri Rav Praveen Singh, Second Secretary (Commerce), Embassy of India and Mr. Sunil Tyagi, SGM, International Cooperation, NSIC were also present.

NSIC Pays Record Dividend for FY 2023-24 to Government of India
The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), a Mini Ratna enterprise under the Ministry of MSME, paid dividend of Rs 37.97 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2023-24. The dividend cheque was presented by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC, to Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Honorable Union Minister of MSME and Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Honorable MoS, Ministry of MSME, in the presence of Shri S.C.L. Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Ms. Mercy Epao, JS (SME), Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M) and Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC and other senior officials from Ministry and NSIC. During the occasion, Dr. Acharya highlighted NSIC financial milestones, including revenue of Rs. 3273 crore, marking an 18.16 percent growth, and a Profit after Tax (PAT) of Rs.126.56 crore, up by 14.55 percent from the previous year. The Honorable Minister applauded NSIC’s efforts in empowering MSMEs through integrated support services, and both leaders expressed confidence in NSIC’s continued role in fostering enterprise creation and skill development.

The NSIC-Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI), Deoria, under the guidance of Mr. Ramkumar Yadav, DGM NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Aligarh, organized a Career Counselling cum Job Fair on November 22, 2024, in collaboration with Employment Exchange and National Career Services, Deoria. The event aimed to facilitate employment for trainees and local candidates through open campus placements. Over 259 participants attended, with 102 receiving primary job offers across roles like Machine Operator, Welder, Supervisor, Electrician, and Sales Executive. Key recruiters included Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Proflow Engineering Services, Ivaan Security Services, and Satya Micro Finance.
