Signing of MOU between Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana and The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC)

In order to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Telangana, TEJAS (Telangana entrepreneur Journey for Accelerating Success) was launched on August 28, 2024 by Signing an MOU between Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Telangana and The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC). NSIC is an ISO 9001:2015 certified Mini-Ratna Government of India Enterprise, under Ministry of MSME. The aim is to promote, aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in Telangana. 
NSIC facilitates MSMEs with a set of specially tailored schemes to enhance their competitiveness. NSIC provides integrated support services under Marketing, Technology, Finance and other Support services. NSIC supports MSMEs with Raw Material Assistance, Bill Discounting, Single Point Registration, Digital Facilitation, Credit facilitation and also facilitate materials testing and provides skill development trainings in its training centres located in the country as one in Hyderabad, in order to cater to the needs of skilled manpower of MSME Sector and to build entrepreneurship.
Under the MoU, District Industries Centers located in 33 districts of Telangana State shall promote the schemes of NSIC among the MSMEs in their districts and also collaborate with NSIC for skill development activities. 
The MoU was signed by Dr. G. Malsur, Director, Department of Industries and commerce, Government of Telangana and Sri K. Srinivas, in the presence of Sri D. Sridhar Babu, Hon’ble Minister for IT & Industries, Government of Telangana and Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC. Also present on the occasion are Sri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Fin.), Sh. Ravi kumar CGM, Sh. N.K. Subramani GM (NTSC Hyderabad)  from NSIC.

NSIC supports ICAI MSME & Startup Yatra 2024

The ICAI MSME & Startup Yatra 2024 was officially flagged off for the North Region from the premises of the Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of ICAI. The event marked a significant collaboration between the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), reinforcing their commitment to the growth and empowerment of MSMEs across India. Key dignitaries present at the event included Shri Sanjay Rautela, ZGM-Delhi, NSIC, Shri Umesh Dixit, GM (NSSH), Shri Sanjay Yadav, SBM, Shri Shaminder Kardam, Dy. Manager, BO(Delhi), CA (Dr.) Raj Chawla, Vice Chairman, Committee on MSME, ICAI; Shri Abhinav Aggarwal, Chairman, NIRC of ICAI; and Shri Manoj Lamba. During the flag-off event, participants were briefed on various NSIC initiatives, including those under the National SC-ST Hub Office (NSSH), that are specifically designed to support and uplift MSMEs. These initiatives aim to provide comprehensive assistance in areas such as financial literacy, market linkages, and capacity building. The event witnessed the participation of approximately 100 individuals, including Chartered Accountants, trainees, startup founders, and entrepreneurs, all of whom are key stakeholders in the MSME ecosystem.

CMD, NSIC visits NTSC (Neemka)

CMD, NSIC made a significant visit to the NSIC Technical Services Centre (NTSC), Neemka on 20th August, 2024. The CMD, along with Shri O. P. Singh, General Manager (Tech.), Head Office, review the performance of centre. Shri Sanjay Sharif, Deputy General Manager, NTSC (Neemka), briefed the various diploma engineering programs, technical courses, and Common Facility Services (CFS) activities currently being conducted at the Centre. During the visit, the CMD encouraged the officials and faculty members to continue their dedicated work in the larger interest of society. To mark the occasion, the CMD also participated in the "एक पेड़ माँ के नाम" initiative by planting a tree at NTSC Neemka, symbolizing a commitment to environmental sustainability.

CII Gujarat wing organized a convention on Ease of Doing Business at Vadodara on Aug 23, 2024. Most of the central as well as state Govt Departments / Agencies i.e NSIC, CGTMSE, Govt E Market place, NSIC Venture, DIC and state Govt officials participated in the event. The event witnessed participation of about 1000 Entrepreneurs. The various policies and schemes of participating institutions were discussed by the speakers from respective organizations.  NSIC Venture Capital Fund Ltd was represented by the CEO, Mr. Sravana Kumar & NSIC was represented by Mr. P K Jha, CGM (Central Zone) and presentation given on the the growth opportunities for entrepreneurs with support from NSIC and NSIC Venture.

CMD, NSIC addressed the 19th CII India-Africa Business Conclave 2024

Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, NSIC, addressed the session on “Creating Employability in Africa for Sustainable Human Capital Growth,” held on August 22, 2024, during the 19th CII India-Africa Business Conclave in New Delhi from August 20-22, 2024.

Dr. Acharya spoke about NSIC’s services in MSME development in India and other countries. He highlighted the strategic establishment of Rapid Incubation Centres and Vocational Training Centres by NSIC across various African nations. These initiatives are instrumental in empowering young entrepreneurs with the requisite skills and knowledge, thereby facilitating sustainable economic development through creation of employment opportunities.

The session also featured distinguished panelists, including Mr. Puneet R. Kundal, Additional Secretary (E&SA), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India; H.E. Mrs. Sabine Djimouko, Advisor to the President on Education, Republic of Chad; H.E. Dr. Tambo Gina, Minister of Economic Planning and Development, Kingdom of Eswatini; and H.E. Mr. Abdou Jobe, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Republic of The Gambia.

The Conclave witnessed participation from over 47 African countries, with nearly 650 representatives from government and business sectors. Additionally, more than 350 representatives from the Indian industry attended the event.

Discussions were held regarding cooperation opportunities in the MSME sector between the two countries.

Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M) led Indian delegation to Vietfood & Beverage-Propack 2024

Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), led an Indian delegation of 10 MSMEs from the food sector for participation in Vietfood & Beverage-Propack 2024, held from 8-10 August 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He was accompanied by Mr. Shashank Shekhar, Assistant Manager (International Cooperation), NSIC. The objective was to expose Indian MSMEs in Foof sector to the business opportunities in Vietnam. Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India, Ho Chi Minh City along with Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, inaugurated the NSIC-MSME India Pavilion at the exhibition. The objective was to expose Indian MSMEs in the food sector to the emerging business opportunities in Vietnam.

NSIC Celebrates 78th Independence Day

The 78th Independence day was celebrated by NSIC all across its offices by paying tribute to the freedom fighters and the nation’s rich legacy of freedom. At the Head Office, CMD hoisted the National flag in presence of Heads of various verticals, staff members and their children. Apart from Head Office, NSIC zonal, Branch offices and Technical service centres across India also celebrated Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies. The celebration was attended by senior officials, staff members and other stakeholders of NSIC, who came together to honor the spirit of independence and renew their dedication to the nation progress.

Successful Placement Camp Organized by NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Rajpura

NSIC-Technical Services Centre (Rajpura) successfully organized a Placement Camp at Centre located on 09th August, 2024.  During the event, eight (08 Nos.) prominent companies participated and shortlisted 64 out of the 158 candidates for final selection at their respective units.
