NSIC Pays Record Dividend for FY 2023-24 to Government of India

The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC), a Mini Ratna enterprise under the Ministry of MSME, paid dividend of  Rs 37.97 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2023-24. The dividend cheque was presented by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC, to Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Honorable Union Minister of MSME and Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Honorable MoS, Ministry of MSME, in the presence of Shri S.C.L. Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Ms. Mercy Epao, JS (SME), Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M) and Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC and other senior officials from Ministry and NSIC. During the occasion, Dr. Acharya highlighted NSIC financial milestones, including  revenue of  Rs. 3273 crore, marking an 18.16 percent growth, and a Profit after Tax (PAT) of Rs.126.56 crore, up by 14.55 percent from the previous year.  The Honorable Minister applauded NSIC’s efforts in empowering MSMEs through integrated support services, and both leaders expressed confidence in NSIC’s continued role in fostering enterprise creation and skill development.

The NSIC-Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI), Deoria, organized a Career Counselling cum Job Fair on November 22, 2024.

The NSIC-Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI), Deoria, under the guidance of Mr. Ramkumar Yadav, DGM NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Aligarh, organized a Career Counselling cum Job Fair on November 22, 2024, in collaboration with Employment Exchange and National Career Services, Deoria. The event aimed to facilitate employment for trainees and local candidates through open campus placements. Over 259 participants attended, with 102 receiving primary job offers across roles like Machine Operator, Welder, Supervisor, Electrician, and Sales Executive. Key recruiters included Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Proflow Engineering Services, Ivaan Security Services, and Satya Micro Finance.

Visit of Official delegation from South Africa at NSIC

An official delegation from South Africa, led by Ms. Visser, Head of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Small Business Development, called on Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman-Cum-Managing Director, NSIC to discuss potential avenues for cooperation in the MSME sector between NSIC and South Africa. The discussions particularly focused on creating enterprise to enterprises linkages, skill development, business incubation, and entrepreneurship development. Ms. Visser was accompanied by Mr. Nkabinde, Director of the Enterprise Development Department; Mr. Khathushelo Thagwana, First Secretary (Political) at the South African High Commission; and Mr. Ravi Issar, Adviser at the South African High Commission. During the meeting, Dr. Acharya delivered an insightful overview of NSIC’s strategic initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and support the development of MSMEs in India. Following the discussions, the delegation toured NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre

NSIC signed MoU with M/s D.M. Metalloys Pvt Ltd, Mumbai to supply Customized Stainless Steel material to Empower MSMEs

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s D.M Metalloys Pvt Ltd to provide customized Stainless Steel materials to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India.The agreement aims to provide customized stainless steel materials of Jindal Steel Limited, supplied by M/s DM Metalloys Pvt Ltd. 
The MoU was signed by Shri Gurpal Singh, Senior General Manager (RMD), NSIC, and Shri Vikram D. Chandan, Director, M/s D.M. Metalloys Pvt. Ltd., in the esteemed presence of Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC, and Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC Ltd. On the occasion, other officials from NSIC were also present.

माननीय संसदीय राजभाषा समिति द्वारा एनएसआईसी के राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन का निरीक्षण

माननीय संसदीय राजभाषा समिति  की तीसरी उप समिति द्वारा निगम के मुख्य कार्यालय के राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन एवं प्रगति का निरीक्षण किया गया । निरीक्षण 21.11.2024 को  संसदीय राजभाषा समिति के उपाध्यक्ष श्री भर्तृहरि महताब, माननीय सांसद  तथा समिति के सह-संयोजक श्री सतीश कुमार गौतम, माननीय सांसद एवं अन्य सदस्यों की उपस्थिति में आयोजित हुआ, जिसमे निगम के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. शुभ्रांशु शेखर आचार्य एवं निगम के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने भी भाग  लिया। एमएसएमई मंत्रालय की ओर से  सयुंक्त सचिव (राजभाषा) श्रीमती काजल जैन एवं उनके सहयोगी अधिकारी भी निरीक्षण के दौरान उपस्थित रहे।

 

संसदीय राजभाषा समिति की तीसरी उप-समिति ने निगम की राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन की प्रगति की समीक्षा करते हुए संतोष व्यक्त किया।  अंत में सफल निरीक्षण के  लिए निगम को समिति के उपाध्यक्ष द्वारा प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान की गई ।

Delegation from ANADEC, Democratic Republic of Congo visits NSIC

An official delegation from The National Agency for the Development of Congolese Entrepreneurship (ANADEC), Democratic Republic of Congo led by Mr. PHUATI NGIMBI Gabriel, Head of Incubator Deployment and accompanied by H.E. Ms. Zozo Binti Josephine, Charge d Affaires, Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in India called on Dr. S.S. Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC for discussion on areas of cooperation with NSIC for the development of MSMEs in the Democratic Republic of Congo. During the interaction, Mr. Sunil Tyagi, SGM, International Cooperation, Mr. O.P. Singh, GM (Technology) and other senior officials were also present.
Earlier, the delegates had also visited NSIC’s Technical Service Centres at Okhla, New Delhi and Neemka, Faridabad and observed that NSIC’s model of Rapid Incubation for employment generation and Advanced Training Centre could also be apt for development of MSMEs in Democratic Republic of Congo. They appreciated NSIC’s facilities for skill development and enterprise creation model leading to employment generation opportunities.

The 69th AGM was attended by all the Directors, Shareholders, Statutory Auditor, Secretarial Auditor & other senior officials of NSIC.

Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) led Indian delegation to METALEX 2024 Expo at Bangkok, Thailand

Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) is leading a delegation of Indian MSMEs for participation in METALEX 2024, an International exhibition showcasing machine tools and metalworking technologies, currently being held at Bangkok, Thailand from 20-23 November 2024.

In the exhibition, the NSIC-MSME India Pavilion was inaugurated jointly by Mr. Gaurav Gulati and Ms. Paulomi Tripathi, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India in Bangkok, in the presence of   Mr. Bhaskar Kalra, Attache (Commerce) & Assistant Permanent Representative to UNESCAP, Embassy of India in Bangkok and senior officials of NSIC.

The objective of participation is to give exposure to Indian MSMEs to explore business opportunities in Thailand, build contacts and witness new technologies and latest trends in the machine tools and metalworking industry.

NSIC Observes Vigilance Awareness Week, Reinforces Commitment to Integrity and Transparency

NSIC observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, 2024, as part of its commitment to fostering a culture of integrity. Under the guidance of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), NSIC also conducted a precursor observance from August 16 to November 15, 2024, to build momentum for the week’s theme, Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity. Throughout the week, NSIC’s corporate office and branches across India hosted a range of activities. Employees took integrity pledges, participated in workshops and lectures, and engaged in training sessions on key topics under the Capacity Building Programs. The week also featured essay writing, quiz, and drawing competitions to raise awareness about the importance of ethical practices in the workplace. NSIC marked the conclusion of Vigilance Awareness Week with a closing ceremony on November 7, 2024, chaired by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD at NSIC-Business Park, Okhla, New Delhi. Winners of the week’s competitions received awards, recognizing their active participation. During the ceremony, the CMD, along with Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance) and Shri D.K Agrawal, CVO, spoke on the significance of vigilance and integrity in fostering a transparent and accountable work culture. As a highlight, the CMD also launched NSIC’s first edition of the Vigilance Manual, a resource to further support the corporation’s commitment to ethical standards.

NSIC Secures Land Allotment for Center of Excellence in Bengaluru to Empower Rural Youth with Advanced Technical Skills

In alignment with the vision of Hon’ble Minister of State for MSME, Labour & Employment, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, to foster skill development and technical empowerment among youths, the NSIC has taken a significant step forward. Following an in-depth discussion, Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, received the formal Land Allotment Letter from Captain Dr. K. Rajendra, IAS, Managing Director of Karnataka State Small Industries Corporation Ltd. in his office on 07/11/2024. The newly allocated land will facilitate the establishment of a Center of Excellence for Tool Room, Common Facility, and Training aimed at equipping the youths and small industrial units of from Bengaluru’s surrounding districts with industry-relevant technical skills.
