Inauguration of NSIC’s Training and Incubation Centre by Hon’ble Minister of MSME at Deoria, U.P (April 15, 2015)

Sh. Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Government of India , while inaugurating NSIC’s Training and Incubation Centre at Deoria, U.P, said that this is the first centre of its kind for skill development of youths and budding entrepreneurs in this region. Sh. Ravindra Nath, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC said that NSIC’s Training & Incubation Centre at Deoria spread into an area of 5000 sq.ft. will provide training in trades such as Bread & Bakery, Soya Milk production, Water Filteration, Edible Oil Extraction, Packaging, Paper Napkin, Spice Grinding, Socks Knitting, Fashion Designing, Mobile Repair, Electrical Gadget Repair, Computer Hardware & Networking trade, Web Designing & Multimedia, Spice Grinding & Packaging etc. These projects, selected on the basis of local needs, require low investment which can be easily started by the budding entrepreneurs. This Centre will train 800 people who will be capable of being self-employed after the completion of their training.
Commending the initiative of NSIC for its efforts in establishing this centre in this region, Hon’ble Minister of MSM|E, Government of India said People can be turned into economic assets if they can be gainfully employed or are enabled to start their own enterprises. It is, therefore, need of the hour to invest in building their capabilities by providing relevant skills for productive employment. It is necessary to give special emphasis on technical / vocational education and skill development so as to increase the skilled workforce in the region. He further said that several college going students pursuing technical/academic courses look forward to various avenues to earn livelihood after completing their studies. There are also instances where students drop out without completing their academics/ professional courses due to various compelling reasons and they have to look for different sources to earn their livelihood. Also, large part of the population of this region need to be utilized in non-farm activities without affecting the agricultural output. This will enhance the economic development which is not possible without the productive use of youths or unemployed. For both the above mentioned categories of population, NSIC’s ‘Training and Incubation Centre on its Rapid Incubation Model would be apt so as to train them and provide them opportunities for ‘self-employment’ and ‘job creation’ instead of them looking for petty jobs. Hon’ble Minister of MSME said that this fact has been well recognised by the Government of India and his Ministry i:e Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), has recently launched a “Scheme for Promotion of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Agro Industry (ASPIRE)” with the objective of creating a favourable eco-system for encouraging the start-ups with sustained employment opportunity creation and to raise the level of skilling for successful enterprise creation.
