NSIC facilitating MSMEs in the Health Care Sector to meet COVID 19 Challenges

NSIC in this challenging time, during this world pandemic has taken up the various initiatives to fight against COVID 19 by facilitating MSMEs. NSIC has expanded its Horizon and made its foray into Health Care sector. Recently, NSIC (Hyderabad) in association with the State Medical & Health Department, Telangana & Telangana Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (TMSIDC) through its associate MSMEs has supplied PPE Kits – 20,000 Nos, 3 Ply Masks – 5,00,000 Nos and Sanitizers (500 ml) – 50,000 Bottles to various hospitals and medical stores spread across the Telangana State. The MSMEs in the state of Telengana manufacture, distribute and deliver the specified quantities in a time bound manner successfully to the various designated locations in the Telangana State. The Government of Telegana has reciprocated the efforts of NSIC in encouraging MSMEs with appreciation.

Shri. Vijayendra, IAS CMD NSIC and Shri. P. Udayakumar, DPM visited NTSC, Rajkot on 02/03/2020

The various activities of NTSC, Rajkot were appraised to by Shri. P.K. Jha, ZGM (Central) and Shri. U. Venkatachalapathi, GM (NTSC-Head). During their visit,  CMD and DPM also interacted with the representatives of Industrial associations to access the business potential. The employees of NTSC, Rajkot were also interacted and motivated to enhance the business.

NSIC conducts Workshop with GeM

Shri.P.Udayakumar,Director(P&M),NSIC while interacting  with the participants of the "Workshop on etendering through GeM for Business Generation "held on 29th February 2020 held at NSIC Campus, Okhla Industrial Estate ,New Delhi  encouraged the NSIC Branches to participate Online for increasing business for  MSEs under the Consortia and Tender Marketing Scheme. Also present on the occasion were Shri.Manoj Lal, Senior General Manager, Shri O.P.Singh,Centre Head, NTSC (Okhla ), Shri. Sanjay Sharif, DGM, NSIC , Shri .Deepak Gehlot, Director (GEM), Government of India. The 1st edition of GeM Workshop was very useful and interactive and a big methodology of learning for the NSIC employees .All Branch Head and Accounts Head from NCR and Noida region and officials from different division of Head Office participated. Similar Workshop are being organized in respective Zones across the country so that NSIC can facilitate the participation  of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs)in Government Tenders in  a enormous  way.

One day Training Program on Digital Marketing conducted for Artisans on 06-02-2020 under support from NABARD

A One day Training program  on “Digital Marketing and Behavioral Sciences”  was conducted at NSIC- Technical Services Centre, Neemka on 6th February,2020 for Artisans participating in Suraj Kund Mela,  2020 under financial support and facilitation by NABARD.  Over fifty Artisans from across the country participated in the program which commenced with lamp lighting session and welcome speech Shri Rajesh Kumar, Centre Head  who also  briefly described the NSIC schemes and the role of Technical Services Centre. Duirng the program Senior Officers from NABARD were also present. Shri Vijay Kumar Nagra, AGM  briefed the participants about the schemes of NABARD and it’s role in rural development.

Technical Session on  Digital Marketing was delivered by  Shri Amit Goel, Director , M/s Mobeology Communications Pvt. Ltd. , Faridabad. He explained about the importance and intricacies of Digital Marketing for growth and development of businesses of the Artisans. He also explained as to how the Artisans in their respective areas of operation can take use of Digital marketing despite technological challenges and limitations in rural areas. 

Shri Pankaj Kumar Trehan, from Institutions of Engineers, Faridabad,  explained about the marketing portal for digital marketing and  he also covered the features of MSME portal, NSIC’s  B2B schemes to help Artisans to display their product to global market, Importance of the portal to their business and for marketing their products  at their respective workplace with reduced marketing cost.
The last session on “Behavioral Sciences” was taken up by Ms. Anudeep, Faculty and well explained  their importance & role in the business.

All the Artisans were  very much impressed with the training program on Digital Marketing and expressed their utmost satisfaction and resolve to take the advantage of Digital marketing to expand their business through Digital model.

In the vote of thanks offered by Shri  Sanjeev Tripathi, DGM, NABARD he greatly appreciated the conduct of the program for its relevance and advantage to the Artisans and said to conduct more such programs in other districts of Haryana by engaging the expertise of NSIC-TSC, Neemka (Faridabad).
