NTSC (Howrah) conducted Apprenticeship Mela on 8th May, 2023. In this program, various renowned eight companies like Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Science City (Ministry of culture), Ambuja Cement, L&T Construction Skills Training Institute Serampore and Ahmedabad, etc. participated. Total 52 candidates have been selected from this drive. This initiative was taken by Shri Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, Center Head, NTSC (Howrah) along with staff and officers.

NSIC (Rajkot) conducted a Job Mela on 10th May 2023, at NSIC -TSC Premises. The program was inaugurated by Sh. D.B Vagadiya, Principal A.V Parekh Technical Institute, Rajkot as Chief Guest, in the presence of Sh. Upender Kumar Kohli, GM & Centre Head. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. D.B Vagadiya, Principal A.V Parekh Technical Institute, Rajkot advised the participants to avail benefit of NSIC-TSC facilities for development of their technical skill. Students trained in NSIC-TSC are having good scope of getting job opportunities as they are imparted with the practical knowledge. He urged them to take advantage of the facilities of NSIC-TSC, acquire knowledge and become proficient in the areas of your trade. 13 MSMEs participated for selecting skilled manpower. More than 57 students participated in the event. 16 Candidates were selected in preliminary round and the units have called for final selections of these candidates to their Companies. Shri P.R Chaganti, Chief Manager, NTSC (Rajkot) coordinated the program. NSIC-TSC provides linkages between MSMEs & Students and is doing a wonderful job in the overall growth of the individual and MSMEs. There is huge requirement of skilled manpower in Rajkot which is one of the industrial hub of India.

Shri Gaurav Gulati has assumed the charge of Director (Finance), The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd (NSIC) on 09th May, 2023. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a Qualified Cost Accountant (ICAI), Company Secretary (ICSI) and MBA in Finance. Shri Gulati has Rich Professional Experience of more than 23 years working in the areas of Corporate Accounting, Contract Management, Financial Management, SAP/ERP Implementation etc. Prior to Joining NSIC Ltd. He has served in various reputed organizations such as IndusInd Bank, SAIL Ltd., NTPC & NBCC in various domain of Finance.

H.E. Mr. Isse Abdillahi Assoweh, Ambassador of Republic of Djibouti in India visited NSIC on May 4, 2023 with an objective to understand activities of NSIC and initiatives taken for development of MSMEs. Mr. S. Tyagi, GM-SG (IC) and Mr. R. Kumar, GM (Tech.) welcomed the Ambassador and apprised him about the activities of NSIC as well as NSIC’s models of Rapid Incubation Centre for employment generation. The Ambassador showed keen interest to cooperate with NSIC in setting up such Centres in Djibouti to encourage young entrepreneurs and create self-employment opportunities. Mr. Binod Kumar, DGM (Tech.), Ms. Adiba Bari, Manager (IC), Mr. Anupam Tiwari, Manager (IC) and Mr. Shashank Shekhar, Asst. Manager (IC) were also present during the visit.

Shri Sarvana Kumar, CEO, NVCFL addressed the media on BizAmp, 1st outreach programme to be held at Dimapur on 4/5/23, organised by MoMSME in association with NVCFL under its SRI Fund. BizAmp will empower MSMEs from NER, amplifying their business utilising benefits under SRI Fund.

During the Visit of three-member delegation from Design and Technology Institute (DTI), Ghana to NSIC, New Delhi ( from 10-12 April, 2023) they held discussion with Ms. Mercy Epao, CMD, NSIC in the presence of Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director ( Planning & Marketing),NSIC to explore areas of possible cooperation areas between NSIC and DTI, Ghana. The delegation also visited NSIC’s Rapid Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre at NSIC’s Technical Service Center, Okhla and observed that NSIC’s model of Rapid Incubation Centre for employment generation and Advanced Training Centre is apt for development of MSMEs in Ghana. Mr. Sunil Tyagi, General Manager (SG ),Mr. O.P. Singh,Centre Head NTSC (Okhla) , Ms. Adiba Bari, Manager , Mr. Anupam Tiwari, Manager and Mr. Shashank Shekhar, Asst. Manager were also present on this occasion.

Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning &Marketing),NSIC inaugurated the Job Fair organized by NTSC (Okhla) on 18th April 2023 in the presence of Shri Navin Chopra , CGM(SG)(Tech), Shri O.P.Singh, Centre Head ,NTSC (Okhla) , Shri Rajesh Kumar, GM(Tech). The NTSC (Okhla) invited more than 500 passed out trainees to participate in this job fair. These candidates were trained in different courses in the area of Mechanical, Electronics & Electrical, Computers & IT and in non-technical areas such as Fashion Design, Apparel/Garments manufacturing & Beauty Therapy. The participating recruiters included renowned industries such as Drone Destination, Modern Pre-fab Systems (Pvt)Ltd, JBM Group, Begapt Tech Solutions (Pvt)Ltd, Advance Job Group , Precision Infratech (Pvt)Ltd ,Shah Rug International ,Vibgyor International (Pvt.)Ltd , UV Aadinath, Modern HVAC, to MSMEs who are need of skilled manpower for their industry. These Companies assess competence level of NTSC trainees and provide them job opportunities. The trainees carry hope & aspiration to be suitably employed in their chosen field.

Celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and encouraging greener planet, the NSIC – Technical Services Centre (Okhla) planted saplings in their Campus on 18th April 2023. The saplings were planted by Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, Shri Navin Chopra, CGM(SG)(Tech) , Shri Rajesh Kumar , GM (Tech) and Shri O.P. Singh ,Centre Head, NTSC (Okhla) in the presence of Shri Vimalesh Bhatia, Chief Manager , Shri Avinash, Deputy Manager. The NSIC Technical Services Centre all over the country conduct market driven and industry oriented courses in various technical fields. To further facilitate optimum utilization of trained manpower output from NTSC , they regularly organizes Job Fairs in their respective campus, to give fair opportunities to candidates passing out from different courses being conducted in the NTSCs.

NTSC (Rajkot) received NABL CERTIFICATE for New Solar water pump Testing facilities and it is1st Government Solar Water Pump Testing Laboratory in Gujarat Region wherein fully automatic solar pump testing set up is created with real time data acquisition. Testing facility will be as per MNRE/BIS Standard/NABL Procedure and covers testing range from 1HP to 10HP solar pumps. NTSC (Rajkot) created these facilities based on requirement of MSME units located in Saurastra Region added scope for Plastic Testing Laboratory& Solar Water Pump Testing and material Testing facilities to serve Manufactures/ MSMEs for testing and take maximum benefit of this testing facility.
