NSIC participates in Directors Conclave

CMD, NSIC was invited as a distinguished speaker in the Directors’ Conclave on the occasion of 34th Annual Day of Institute of Directors, held on August 09, 2024, at New Delhi. In his keynote address, during the session Improving Board Effectiveness through strengthening the Role of IDs & Making Board Committees More Agile  CMD, NSIC highlighted the importance of governance, particularly in the areas of board structures, committees, and risk management, with focus on Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

US SBA was led by Administrator, US SBA from US side and Secretary MSME from Govt of India side. Matters of mutual interest in the field of entrepreneurship promotion and MSME development was discussed.

NSIC Employees Take Nasha Mukti Sankalp Pledge

NSIC took the Nasha Mukti Sankalp pledge at the NSIC Corporate Office in Delhi. The initiative was led by Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), who inspired the entire workforce to actively participate in this important national campaign. The pledge underscores NSICs dedication to fostering a healthy, addiction-free environment, both within the organization and in the broader community. Through this collective commitment, NSIC continues to support the government Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and its vision for a healthier, more responsible society.

Ministry of MSME, Govt of India with World Bank has initiated an ambitious program "Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance" (RAMP) to enhance competitiveness of MSMEs of India. An one day Composite Awareness Workshop was organised by MoMSME at Pune.

Ministry of MSME, Govt of India with World Bank has initiated an ambitious program "Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance" (RAMP) to enhance competitiveness of MSMEs of India. An one day Composite Awareness Workshop was organised by MoMSME at Pune. The inaugural session was attended by Shri Ateesh Singh, JS, MSME, Shri T Koshy, MD & CEO of ONDC, Director General, MCCIA etc. Dr. S S Acharya, CMD delivered a special address in the session and spoke about enhancing competitiveness of MSMEs and improving market linkages. The one day workshop included presentations on various initiatives of Govt of India under RAMP.

Hon’ble Ministers of MSME inaugurates the New Training Program at NSIC

In a significant stride towards fostering skill development and entrepreneurship, the Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, and the Hon’ble Minister of State, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, inaugurated the New Training Program at the NSIC Technical Service Centre (NTSC) in Okhla, New Delhi. The event witnessed the presence of Shri S.C.L. DAS, Secretary (MSME),  Smt. Mercy Epao, JS-SME, Ms. Simmi Chaudhary (EA&JS), Dr. S.S Acharya, CMD, NSIC, Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC and Sh. Saravana Kumar, Director & CEO (NVCFL).

An MoU has signed between Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC, and the CEO of Drone Destination. This MoU aims to integrate advanced drone technology training into the new training programs, offering MSMEs a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Shri Kartikeya Sinha expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, This partnership will pave the way for innovative training modules that are aligned with global standards, ensuring our MSMEs are future-ready.

NSIC Signs MoU with Ultratech Cement to Boost MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh

NSIC has signed an MOU with Ultratech Cement Limited on 10th July, 2024 at Lucknow. The MoU has been signed by Shri Sanjay Rautela, Zonal General Manager Delhi, NSIC Limited and Shri Vivek Jain, Joint President Sales and Marketing, Ultratech Cement Limited for distribution of Cement (OPC and PPC), Loose Cement to the MSMEs at subsidized and discounted rates. This initiative is set to enhance the competitiveness and market presence of MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh. On the occasion, Shri J. P. Singh, Dy. General Manager, NSIC Shri Ramendra Rathi, AGM and Ms. Aditi Awasthi, AGM, Ultratech Cement Limited along with other officials were also   present.

Delegation from ITRI, Taiwan visits NSIC

An official delegation from Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan led by Ms. Chin-An Wang, Business Director, ITRI and accompanied by Ms. Joyce Chang, ITRI, and Mr. Chester Chen, Economic  Secretary, Taipei  Economic  and  Cultural  Center (TECC) is on an exploratory visit to India for seeking cooperation opportunities in SMEs sector. As a part of their visit, they visited NSIC Head Quarters and called on Dr. Subhransu S. Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director. During the discussions, areas of mutual interest for future collaborations like the forthcoming India-Taiwan SME Forum was discussed. NSIC team was led by Shri. Sunil Tyagi, Sr. General Manager (IC) and was accompanied by Mr. Anupam Tiwari and Mr. Shashank Sekhar.

NSIC signs MoU with ONDC

On the occasion of International MSME Day, 27th June, 2024, Union Minister Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi launched the MSME TEAM initiative, a sub-component under the World Bank supported scheme  Raising and Accelerating MSME performance (RAMP).  The MSME TEAM initiative aims at facilitating five lakh micro and small enterprises (MSEs) for onboarding on to the open Network for Digital commerce (ONDC). The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) has been entrusted as implementing agency for this initiative. To Implement TEAM initiative, NSIC entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ONDC. The MoU was signed by Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC and Shri K Harishankar, Head of Transformation, ONDC in the esteemed presence of Dr. S S Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), NSIC. By integrating MSEs into the government open e-commerce network, this initiative aims to provide micro and small enterprises with unparalleled access to the digital marketplace, enabling them to expand their reach, enhance their market presence, and drive sustainable growth.

Celebration of International Day of Yoga (IDY)

Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with NSIC celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2024 at NSIC’s NTSC Complex, Okhla, New Delhi. Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Hon’ble Minister of MSME inaugurated the event which was graced by Shri S.C.L. Das, IAS, Secretary (MSME), Dr. Rajneesh, IAS,  AS & DC (MSME), Dr. S.S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC, Ms. Mercy Epao, JS(SME), Shri Vipul Goel, JS(ARI) and Shri Ateesh Kumar, JS(AFI) besides other officials from Ministry of MSME, Office of DC(MSME), NSIC and other attached institutions of Ministry. Hon’ble Minister emphasized the importance of Yoga in our day-to-day life and urged upon the participants for regular practicing the yoga along with the family members and to encourage others for the same as it is beneficial for our physical as well as mental health.The participants practiced yoga under supervision from experienced yoga instructors from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, New Delhi.
