Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (POSH)

"Sexual harassment" includes any one or more of the following unwelcome acts or behavior (whether directly or by implication):

1. Physical contact and advances;
2. A demand or request for sexual favours;
3. Making sexually coloured remarks;
4. Showing pornography;
5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature including offensive comments, jokes, lurid stares, molestation, stalking, derogatory displays, intimidation, hostile work environment, inappropriate questions, abuse of authority or threatening employment conditions against sexual favours.

“Employee” means a person employed at a workplace for any work on regular, temporary, adhoc, daily wages basis, directly or through an agent including contractor, co-worker, probationer, trainee or apprentice.

“Workplace” includes all offices, branches, units/locations of NSIC and any place visited during employment including company transportation.
