INTRODUCTION:
NSIC, a PSU under the Ministry of MSME has been working to promote, aid and foster the growth of MSMEs since 1955 in India, and has been a front runner in bringing new initiative for MSMEs and solving their challenges by facilitating through various schemes. NSIC has been very fast in adopting the digital technologies launched a B2B portal MSME Global Mart (www.msmemart.com) which provides online platform for B2B marketing and connecting MSMEs with the buyer and suppliers all over the world. The portal aims at significantly reducing/ eliminating the challenge of weak marketing, Market access and visibility of MSMEs in the country.
Apart from the e-Marketing solution, the need was also felt to facilitate MSMEs in terms of Technology adoption, to achieve higher business efficiencies, business automation and compliances, following which the Digital Service Facilitation aggregation services was launched, whereby NSIC operates a facilitator of ICT Enabled Digital Services to MSMEs on transparent and affordable prices by way of on-boarding leading service providers offering different products/ services that are required by MSMEs for adopting the digital ways of managing their businesses.
E-MARKETING PORTAL: - MSME GLOBAL MART
The MSME Global Mart is a one-stop, one-window bouquet of utilities which facilitates millions of businesses of any scale existing in India with excellent networking opportunities between buyer and seller across the world. The B2B portal disseminates sector specific Trade Leads and tender information to MSMEs. Moreover, the customers can choose products and services from specific sectors, navigate through categories which suits their business / individual needs. The portal provides excellent opportunities to customers who want to start/expand their business, get a knack of Global Tenders, do product specific database search etc.
The MSME Global Mart aspires to connect small and unknown home-businesses, local businesses with prospective buyers online, to contributes and support the growing 'Make In India' economy. The portal showcases products even from hinterlands to get to the national market, thus, providing opportunities to artisans and small sellers from Tier-2/3 towns to come online and become discoverable to customers beyond their local catchment. Thus, MSME Global Mart is contributing significantly in achieving the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ mandate.

ADOPTION OF E-COMMERCE POLICY UNDER PMS SCHEME
The Ministry of MSME launched Adoption of e-Commerce Policy under PMS Scheme which provides financial assistance on Annual membership fee/ subscription fee/ contingency expenses (photography, cataloguing, and advertising) for selling products or services by Micro Enterprises through the “MSME Global Mart” portal run by NSIC. All micro enterprises with valid Udyam registration are eligible for this scheme.
The financial assistance of 75% is provided on paid amount by Micro Enterprises subject to maximum Rs. 25,000/- (excluding applicable taxes) whichever is less per financial year.
A 80% financial assistance is offered to Micro and Small Enterprises under NSSH scheme.
PROMOTIONAL / ADVERTISING PLAN
The MSME Global Mart Promotional Plan is a “Value Added Service”, which enriches the proposition of Advertising the products and services of Corporates / Institutes/ Event Organisers / Large Corporates / Financial Institutions etc. to millions of registered /visitor MSMEs of the portal. Moreover, the Corporates through this plan, can find suppliers for all their sourcing needs and or promoting their products and services to registered database.
This service is an endeavour to bring in the Corporates on this platform, in order to provide more business opportunities to the Registered MSME units.
There are three type of plans namely Home Page plan, Category plan and Trade Lead page plan.

DIGITAL SERVICE :- ICT Aggregation Scheme
As mentioned in the Introduction part, in order to facilitate MSMEs in terms of Technology adoption, achieve higher business efficiencies, business automation and compliances, NSIC ventured into the ICT domain, wherein NSIC followed the “Aggregation Model”. In the said model, NSIC would pool in leading service providers who are leaders in their respective fields and who can provide range of services like ERP & Accounting software, Sales and Marketing solutions, Connectivity and Collaboration, Cloud based software suite etc. which are day-to-day requirements of MSME units.
One of the important aspects in this model is that the service providers are required to offer only those products and services which do not require any customisation and fall under simple “Plug-n-Play” and “off the shelf” model.
Service provider who intend to empanel with NSIC need to apply online by filling up the Expression of Interest (EOI), and subsequently a commercial MOU would be signed with each service provider on a non-exclusive basis.
