Exploring Inclusive Growth: Egyptian Delegation visits NSIC

An official delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by Ms. Angy Elyamany, CEO of the Rural and Environmental Industries Support Fund (REIS), Ministry of Social Solidarity and accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Head of the Commercial Office at the Embassy of Egypt in New Delhi, visited NSIC on February 12, 2026. The purpose of the visit was to understand best practices in promoting inclusive economic growth, entrepreneurship development, skill enhancement and market access for small enterprises, as well as to explore potential avenues for bilateral cooperation.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC and Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC. During the meeting, Dr. Acharya presented an overview of India’s MSME ecosystem and highlighted NSIC’s key initiatives and interventions aimed at strengthening small industries and advancing social and economic empowerment through enterprise creation.

Fiji Delegation visits NSIC to explore MSME Cooperation

A high level official delegation from the Republic of Fiji, led by Mr. Esrom Immanuel, Hon’ble Minister for Finance, Commerce and Business Development, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Jagannath Sami, High Commissioner of Fiji to India, visited NSIC on February 10, 2026. The visit aimed to gain insights into NSIC’s activities and explore potential business and institutional cooperation opportunities in the MSME sector.
The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC and Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC. During the discussions, Dr. Acharya gave a broad overview of India MSME ecosystem and NSIC’s initiatives and key interventions for the growth and development of MSMEs, including technology, credit and marketing support, skill development and livelihood incubation programs and international cooperation activities. 
As part of the visit, the delegation was also taken on a guided tour of NSIC’s Incubation Centre and Advanced Training Centre, Okhla. They noted that NSIC’s Rapid Incubation model for entrepreneurship development and employment generation along with the Advanced Training Centre, hold strong relevance for fostering MSME growth in Fiji. The delegation expressed keen interest in collaborating with NSIC in these areas.
Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and NSIC also participated in the interaction.

NSIC celebrates 71st Foundation day

The Hon’ble Minister for MSME graced the 71st Foundation Day of NSIC and emphasized the need for inclusive growth, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society. The Hon’ble Minister complimented NSIC for its role in Enterprise creation and employment generation and congratulated NSIC on completing journey of 71 years in nation building and its dedicated service to the MSME sector and lauded its role as a catalyst in strengthening and nurturing India’s vibrant micro, small and medium enterprises sector.
The 2nd NSIC Foundation Day Lecture was delivered by Prof. S. Mahendra Dev, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM). The lecture provided an insightful overview of the Indian economy and underscored the resilience and growth trajectory of India’s economic landscape.
On this occasion, Sh. S. C. L. Das, Secretary, M/o MSME, Dr. S. S. Acharya, CMD, NSIC, and Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, were also present and addressed the gathering.

SELF Reliant India (SRI) Event

Government of India had decided to invite 50 selected investee companies, amongst others, assisted under SELF Reliant India (SRI) Fund for participating in the 77th Republic day celebrations as special guests. As a part of the same, an interactive meet was organised in the presence of Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, MSME, Dr. S S Acharya, Chairman, NSIC Ventures, Shri Praveen Kumar, ADC besides other senior officials from Ministry, Fund Manager, NVCFL, NSIC etc with the investee companies from all across the country.
 
The interactions with Special Guests and their presentations highlighted the growth achieved with support from SRI Fund. Dr. Rajneesh, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, MSME in his address reiterated Government of India’s continued commitment to support and empower the MSME sector.

NSIC signs MoU with AMTRON

NSIC and Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. (AMTRON) signed an MoU on January 12, 2026, to collaborate in the areas of Industry 4.0 and other emerging technologies. The MoU focuses on promoting start-ups, women entrepreneurs, SHGs & MSMEs through training and skilling, while leveraging NSIC’s training infrastructure across the country. 
NSIC and AMTRON also agrees to jointly undertake skill development & capacity building programmes, establish Incubation labs and provide common facility services for MSMEs, in the North East Region.
The MoU was signed by Shri Kartikeya Sinha, Director (P&M), NSIC and Shri Narsing Pawar, IAS, Managing Director, AMTRON, in the presence of Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC and Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC and other senior officials from both entities.

Visit of Secretary (South), MEA and Ambassadors to NSIC

A delegation comprising of Ambassadors / High Commissioners from Central America, Caribbean, Oceania and West Asia & North Africa regions, accompanied by Dr. Neena Malhotra, Secretary (South), MEA, visited NSIC on January 08, 2026, to understand India’s MSME ecosystem and explore avenues for international cooperation.
The dignitaries were given a broad overview of Indian MSME ecosystem and the role of NSIC in strengthening the growth and competitiveness of the MSMEs by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC. Shri SCL Das, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, in his address touched upon need for enhanced cooperation especially in the MSME domain and advised NSIC to take the lead, more particularly in the areas of technology support, skilling, incubation and market linkages. Shri Rajesh Vaishnaw, Additional Secretary, MEA, in his interaction emphasized that the MSME cooperation can play a big role in further strengthening the mutual relationship between our countries.

CMD, NSIC inaugurated ‘Innovolts Lab’ for Industrial Automation Smart Factory Solution

An ‘Innovolts Lab’ for Industrial automation & smart factory solution has been established at Advance Training Centre, NTSC Okhla.  This Lab introduces training facility with advance and latest Siemens and Mitsubishi make Human Machine Interface System and PLC Kits for most common industrial applications of material movement, product sampling, digital control of motor speed, torque and frequency, elevator movement and other usages.
The facility envisages training opportunity for the youth and industrial workforce in the specialization of industrial automation emerging applications to position the Centre as a modern, multi-disciplinary, industry – ready advanced training hub supporting the skill development and further empowering the MSME ecosystem.
The ‘Innovolts Lab’ was inaugurated by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, CMD, NSIC, on December 18, 2025, in presence of senior officials of Corporate Office and NTSC, Okhla.

Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary (SME), Dr. S. S. Acharya, Chairman & Managing Director along with officials of NIRDPR, Ministry of MSME and NSIC participated in the event.

राष्ट्रीय लघु उद्योग निगम द्वारा प्रथम हिन्दी गृह-पत्रिका 'उद्यम प्रभा' का विमोचन एवं हिंदी पखवाड़ा के दौरान आयोजित हिंदी प्रतियोगिता के पुरस्कार विजेताओं को प्रमाण पत्र वितरण समारोह का आयोजन मुख्य अतिथि श्री सतीश कुमार गौतम, माननीय संसदीय राजभाषा समिति की तीसरी उप-समिति, के सह-संयोजक की गरिमामय उपस्थिति में दिसम्बर 18, 2025 को किया गया।

A high level delegation from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India visited NSIC

A high level delegation from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, comprising Shri TCA Srinivas Prasad, President, Shri Neeraj D. Joshi, Vice President, and Shri M. K. Anand, Council Member visited NSIC and met Shri Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).

The discussion veered around developing new opportunities for the growth of MSME sector. The visiting team discussed ways to engage practicing Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) across India to support the MSME ecosystem by leveraging mutual strengths.

This partnership is expected to benefit MSMEs by providing them access to professional expertise, enhancing their financial management capabilities, and improving overall business performance.

Strengthening India-Egypt MSME Cooperation: Egyptian Delegation visits NSIC

A high-level business delegation from Egypt, led by Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Hon’ble Governor of the Province of Assiut and H.E. Mr. Kamel Galal, Ambassador of Egypt to India, visited NSIC on Monday, December 8, 2025.

The Hon’ble Governor and the accompanying delegation were warmly received by Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC; Mr. Kartikeya Sinha, Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC and Mr. Gaurav Gulati, Director (Finance), NSIC.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in extensive discussions with the NSIC leadership on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the MSME sector. Key focus areas included Incubation Programs, Skill development programmes and fostering linkages between MSMEs of both nations through NSIC’s B2B portal www.msmemart.com. Recognising the critical role of MSMEs in the nation building, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has launched 183 MSME Clinics across India offering free advisory services to support the Small and Medium enterprises on matters of credit, finance, technology, government subsidies, marketing and compliances. NSIC being a partner with ICAI will leverage its strengths to empower the MSMEs under the vision of Viksit Bharat. The inaugural ceremony of MSME Clinics was witnessed by Ms. Mercy Epao, JS MSME, Sh. Gaurav Gulati Director Finance, NSIC and Sh Manoj Lal, ED NSIC in the presence of ICAI President CA Charanjot Singh Nanda at ICAI headquarters.
